Flexible PCB

Flexible PCBs are generally installed bent, folded, or twisted. They are primarily used to replace wiring, connectors, and antennas, then gradually to be the Flex-rigid PCBs laminated with rigid PCBs, now widely used throughout the electronics industry.
FC becomes a prototype-to-production Flex and rigid-flex PCB supplier in response to market requirements. With its growing stronger core HDI technology in combination with flexible printed circuit boards, FC also provides high-density interconnect (HDI) Rigid-flex PCBs.

The materials of Flexible PCB at FC

The quality of the flex circuit board will be determined by the raw material of the flex circuit board and the stacking method. There are five basic raw materials for FC flexible circuit boards:
 
Polyimide (Kapton)
Most popular, high temp rating, excellent chemical resistance
Polyester (PET)
Lower cost, moderately high temp rating
Polyamide
high durability, thermal properties and cost-benefit ratio
Fluoropolymers (PTFE)
Superior chemical resistance, relatively expensive
Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP)
High frequency ,low signal loss

 

FC Offer Different Types of FPC

  • Single-Sided FPC: Flexible circuit boards have only one metal conductor layer and are bonded to one side of the dielectric layer or bonded between two dielectric layers.
  • Double-Sided FPC: Double-sided FPC has metal layers on both sides of a single layer of dielectric. It connects with plated through holes and offers enhanced power-handling capabilities and circuit density.
  • Multi-Layer FPC: Multilayer FPC combines three or more metal layers that are separated by layers of dielectrics.
  • Rigid-Flex PCB: A rigid-flex PCB incorporates a network of rigid circuit boards that typically house components, with flexible substrates that connect them.

The advantage of Flexible PCB
